Having worked on multiple Microsoft projects, I’ve grown intimately familiar with their brand from a variety of angles. Primarily, I’ve worked on writing for Microsoft event style guides, websites and creative presentations but have also addressed RFP’s for them, and worked on video shoots. Historically, Microsoft projects have been an excellent test of my project management and writing skills, as they require a careful balance between active doing and delegation to keep the projects running smoothly across multiple areas.

In my time at Petrol Advertising, the lead strategist pulled me in to assist with creating a tagline for UFC 177. While the original match would end up being scrubbed due to an injury sustained by one of the fighters, a piece of copy that I wrote “Never Trust the Odds” still received approval from the UFC. This copy was used in various promotional materials up until the fight itself was changed.
While working as a freelancer for XISM we were contacted to develop an RFP for the Indiegogo Booth at the center of Eureka Park at CES. During the RFP process I worked with the team at XISM to help develop ideas such as an “Idea Tree” as the eye catching centerpiece for the booth. Our efforts on the RFP were able to get the agency who had contacted us the win and we were ultimately brought on to help with the production of the booth itself.

In one of my first major creative tasks at XISM a team member and I were tasked with creating new ideas for a keynote and tradeshow event. As a content writer for Bruce Clay Inc. I created thoroughly researched blog posts, service pages, landing pages and other important web pages for clients. Each page created was supported by intensive keyword research carried out by a senior SEO analyst and by myself during the active writing process. During my time at Bruce Clay I served as the only content writer for a period of more than 6 months and supported clients in home renovation, shipping, online retail, travel, legal, financial, education and other industries.
